November 2014

November... the month that winter started.

But we did have a week or so before it really started.

We began November by celebrating Vivian's birthday a little late. How she is already 2 I do not know!

Four wheeling birthday fun

Annabelle and Eedie wanted to throw her a dog party since she loves dogs so much.

And then this! I LOVED this to be honest!

I mean seriously, does it get much more beautiful!?

I can't remember how much we got that first snowfall--maybe 8 in or so.

Frozen girlies

Within a week, the second storm hit. Mike bought a snow blower, which is something I have never had any experience with until this winter.

Still November, people! But it does make the back yard look nice!

And then ice skating season started. We started out going pretty regularly, but weren't consistent. Next year, we'll have to go more and get these girls used to it.

And a sled for the V. She'll be skating next year!

Sometimes I feel like I'm in the south again.

And sometimes we spend way too much time at Lowes.

Because we need to do things like add a dishwasher to this old farm house.

Back by the house, there was this huge gaggle of geese starting to head south for winter.

For Thanksgiving, we headed down to Bar Harbor. Apparently, after October the whole place pretty much shuts down. But we'll definitely be back during the warmer months.
Again, another reason I should blog right away... I can't remember what this house was. But so beautiful in the snow.

Around the grounds.

House in Bar Harbor

Down by the water

Some seagulls were still hanging around.

And this truck.

Waiting for Thanksgiving dinner.

The place we ate Thanksgiving dinner. It was a pretty little hotel that overlooked a lake.

Because it was the off season, we got this hotel room that you could walk out onto the beach. And it was super cheap.

It was pretty cold.

Another cool house in Bar Harbor.

Then, we went to the Bangor Children's Museum.

Girl Band!

Goodbye November!
